ServiceNow Technical Developer
Apex Systems is working with a non-profit healthcare system based in the southeast United States to provide muscle to an already existing ServiceNow team.
We are looking for a Technical Developer with a strong background in hands-on ServiceNow development across the full suite of applications: ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, and, most importantly, ITBM, SecOps, and Mobile.
As a member of the Information Technology (IT) Administration team, the IT ServiceNow Developer is responsible for the day-to-day administration, development, and ongoing maintenance of the ServiceNow platform supporting key ITIL processes like Request, Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Asset, Service Catalog, Knowledge, Problem, Test, and other ServiceNow Applications. In addition to performing support functions, the ServiceNow Developer performs design, and implementation tasks like configuration, integration, custom programming, testing and deploys. The Developer partners with users to create and modify process workflows, reporting and dashboards in addition to developing knowledge, technical and process documentation. The Developer evaluates, coordinates, and performs installation and testing of vendor updates and new releases while maintaining system integrity and availability across sub-production and production environments. Additionally, the Developer stays abreast of new features and functionality, playing a key role in driving continual improvement, platform expansion and adoption.
Responsibilities
ServiceNow Development
Performs day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow tool, including making approved changes to process and workflows.
Configures and maintains user accounts, groups, roles, policies, rules, events, and scripts.
Manages data through administration of tables, fields, relationships, and metadata.
Performs ServiceNow implementation tasks including but not limited to design, configuration, integration, custom programming, and maintenance.
Develops clear and concise knowledge, technical & process documentation.
Performs research, installation, testing and communications of vendor updates and new releases.
Troubleshoots, escalates, communicates, and resolves system issues.
Loads, manipulates, and maintains data between ServiceNow and integrated systems.
Controls system access and data security.
Maintains the integrity of the ServiceNow tool across production and non-production environments.
Monitors efficiency, health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow processes, workflows, and applications.
ServiceNow Business Analyst
Partners with users to identify and refine business requirements, create and maintain applications, workflows, processes, knowledge articles, reporting and dashboards supporting key performance indicators (KPI’s).
Works directly with ITIL process owners, IT functional departments and operations to develop, test and deploy custom business solutions.
Communicates ServiceNow processes, operations, and capabilities to all levels of management effectively.
Proactively engages with local user groups and vendor to understand new ServiceNow features, releases and unused or underutilized modules to help educate and drive continuous improvement, adoption, and expansion of the ServiceNow platform.
Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation Certification or ability to achieve certification within 12 months of hire ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
Required Minimum Experience and Skills:
3+ years’ experience administering ServiceNow applications to include application design, source code management, JavaScript, APIs, web services and User Interface design including ServiceNow platform experience.
Demonstrated experience in database design schemas and data modeling.
Demonstrated experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, web services, HTML, and CSS.
Certified Application Development training/certification highly desired.
Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining business rules, data policies, client scripts, UI policies, UI Actions, Notifications, ACLs, Workflow, Variables, Portal Widgets, and Flow Designer Flows.
Demonstrated understanding of ITIL processes, operations, and procedures.
Experience with processes involving problem identification, recovery, escalation, and resolution. Strong analytical, estimating, and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of Agile project life cycle.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Ability to present and explain technical information to diverse audiences.
Ability to effectively write code (e.g., in one or more languages) to develop effective and efficient solutions to computing needs.
Ability to be flexible, adaptable and learn new concepts quickly.
Maintain a positive attitude oriented towards coming up with solutions and developing new approaches to enterprise issues.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities.
Location: Remote, with possible location restraint
Duration: 6 months plus extension

Rate: $60-65/Hr. on C2C
